Piggie is one of 4 dogs that our shelter took from the ASPCA when they rescued over 50 dogs from a fighting ring in NYC and needed help placing them. In spite of the horrific life these dogs had, they are truly 4 of the sweetest and joyful dogs that we have ever met. They have all been thoroughly temperament tested and passed with flying colors. In spite of their positive temperament tests, these dogs have lived the last part of their lives in darkness, devoid of any kindness or compassion and will require an experienced home. It is so exciting to see them blossom each day here at the shelter as they receive consistent, patient care. We are proud to have these dogs at our shelter and to be a part of their journey from what was a horrific life to a loving and caring new home.
